A great Sunday!

Just wanted to let you know about the great Sunday we had today. Since the weather has warmed up a bit most of our kids who have been off and on during the winter months are coming back to Sunday school. Today we had a good group of sixteen in attendance and most of them were between the ages of twelve to fourteen. The boys were happy it was a game day which means they don't do a craft after the Bible story but they get to play a game. We all enjoyed their game of dodgeball which is turning out to be one of their favorites.

I took this picture today of one of my teen girls, Liza, who has been faithful to bring her two nephews to Sunday services. It is not always easy for her to bring them as she must walk a good distance with them in tow.  She knows they love to come along with her and sing the songs, listen to the story, and get their piece of candy for coloring their picture each week.

In the adult service Alexander, his wife Galina, and Sveta were faithful to be in their places. We also had a mother of a small child whose brothers attend Sunday school come. This little girl sees her brothers go to Sunday school every week and told her Momma that she wanted to go too. Just wanted to share the blessing of our Sunday. We pray your day will be a blessing as you serve the Lord in your ministry today.

Discipleship/ Teen Girl's Class Begins

A few weeks ago Dee Dee began meeting with the teenage girls every Wednesday while the adults continue to meet with David. This decision to start a new teen girl's class is a good opportunity for Dee Dee to teach necessary lessons and disciple those girls who have already made professions of faith. We have already noticed that the girls are much more comfortable in this small class setting to ask questions and participate in discussions. We had previously discipled them one-on-one as they were saved but meeting on Wednesday evenings as a group has been profitable for several reasons. Pray for the Lord to give Dee Dee wisdom as she teaches these girls not only what they possess in Christ but also daily Bible principles to live by. They so need guidance and direction in their lives as most of them are the only Christians in their families. Please pray for us to see more boys come to Christ as well. Then David will be able to start a boy's class and eventually we could have a solid youth group! Since we have been here in Elita, many of the small children who first attended Sunday School and VBS are growing up and becoming teenagers and young adults. We need to take advantage of our time with them while they are within our reach.
